Red Oak is a nice place to live and work but the Red Oak Police Department and Dave Carbaugh’s State Farm Insurance are teaming up to make it even better.

Carbaugh and Red Oak Police Chief Justin Rhamy are launching a “100 Acts of Good Challenge” for Red Oak and the surrounding area, as part of State Farm’s national Acts of Good promotion.

They are urging individuals, teams, groups, organizations and businesses to sign up, and pledge to do 100 or more self-monitored acts of good.

“We want to encourage area residents to embrace this challenge and make our little corner of the world a better place to live, play and work,” explained Red Oak Police Department’s community liaison/relations officer, Brad Baker.

Those wanting to participate can sign up at the Red Oak Police Department or Carbaugh’s office at 207 E. Coolbaugh in Red Oak.

The rules are simple: agree to the challenge; sign up for the challenge; and perform 100 or more acts of good.  Acts of good won’t be graded or judged but participants are asked to keep track of the number and report them to Carbaugh or the ROPD.

Call Baker at 712-370-3062 or Carbaugh at 712-623-5639 for more information or with questions. or Click here to register in Red Oak Iowa
